Join as a collector

Joining the network is free, and the site walks you through it the first time you sign in. In this guide we accept the agreements, say where we work from, list what we are certified to collect, send in our rates, and turn ourselves on so work can reach us.

Steps 1 and 2

Start the setup

The first time you sign in, the site opens a short setup run. Nothing in it is permanent and nothing has to be finished now.

Sign in → setup

The opening screen is the shape of the work: offers arrive under Dispatch while you are active, each collection walks you through a checklist on site, and the finished report goes straight to the company that asked. Skip for now leaves the rest on a checklist you can pick up later.

The collector terms and the privacy policy, each opening in full, with a couple of declarations to answer while you are in there. Do this one properly rather than skipping it: dispatch cannot send you work until it is done.

Steps 3 to 5

Tell us about your work

Next, the three things that decide whether work reaches you and what you are paid for it.

Profile → Credentials → Rate sheet

Does it cost anything to join?
No. Collectors join the network at no charge. You are paid per collection at the rates on your rate sheet.
What happens when a credential expires?
We remind you before it does. Once it has expired you stop being matched to the collections that need it, so renewing it is what puts you back in the running.

They do different jobs. The business address is where your paperwork goes. The service address is where you work from, and it decides which collections you are offered, because requests go to the collectors nearest the site. An address out of date here costs you work.

Add each credential you hold

One entry per credential, with its expiry date and a copy of the certificate. Credentials are what match you to a collection: a DOT urine collection is only ever offered to somebody who holds that credential. We remind you before one expires. Add your W-9 here too, so we can pay you.

Send in your rate sheet

What you charge, by service and by test type, sent to the READI team rather than published anywhere. You do not need one to go active, but a collection is easier to route to somebody whose rates we already hold.

Steps 6 to 8

Turn yourself on

Last step of the setup, and the one that actually starts the work coming.

Go active → your dashboard → Collector

Active means available: nearby requests are offered to you under Dispatch. While you are active your location is tracked and shared with READI Collect dispatch so requests can be routed to you, and going inactive stops that. Flip it whenever you like.

Whatever you skipped is on your dashboard as Finish setting up, with a progress count and a link to each remaining step. It stays until it is done, so you can join in five minutes and finish the paperwork when your certificates are to hand.

Everything above has a permanent home here: Availability for the active switch, then Credentials, Agreements and your Rate sheet across the top. This is where you come back to add a credential, renew one, or go quiet for a fortnight.

You should now be able to
What is next

You are set up and active, so offers will start arriving. Topic 9 takes you through one from the offer to the finished paperwork.
