Put it on your phone
READI Collect is a web site, so there is nothing to download from an app store. You can still add it to your home screen, where it opens full-screen and one tap away. This takes about a minute and is worth doing before you need it rather than at the roadside.
Steps 1 and 2
Add it to your home screen
Sign in on your phone and READI Collect offers to install itself. There is nothing to buy and nothing to download.

- Is this an app from the App Store?
- No. It is the same web site, saved to your home screen so it opens like an app. There is nothing to download, nothing to update, and no store account involved.
- I closed the banner. How do I get it back?
- You do not have to wait for it. Open Settings and choose Install READI Collect, which starts the same steps. On an iPhone that means Safari's Share button and Add to Home Screen; on Android, Install app from your browser menu.
Signed in on a phone, a bar appears along the bottom offering to install. The i beside it explains what installing does; Install starts it; the cross puts the bar away for a month. It never appears once the app is already on your home screen.
On an iPhone, use Safari's Share button, choose Add to Home Screen, then tap Add. On Android the browser offers a real install button and does it for you. Either way you end up with a READI Collect icon that opens full-screen, without the browser bars.
Step 3
What it changes, and what it does not
For a collector it is what lets new requests arrive as notifications. For everyone else, the honest answer is that it changes less than people expect.

- Does it get its own login or its own data?
- No. It is the same READI Collect and the same account. Signing in on the installed copy signs you in to the same collections you would see in the browser.
- Does installing give it access to my phone?
- Not on its own. Anything like location is still asked for separately and you can still say no. Location matters for collectors, because it is what puts nearby work in front of you while you are active.
- How do I remove it?
- The same way you remove any app from your home screen. Your account and your collections are not affected, and the site still works in your browser afterwards.
New collection requests can arrive as notifications, the way a text would. Open Settings, Notifications and switch on Push notifications on this device, then allow it when your phone asks. The installed app also offers to turn them on for you. On an iPhone this only works from the copy on your home screen, because Safari allows notifications only for installed web apps. Managers and team members keep getting emails and texts, and everything also lands in your notification inbox.
- Add READI Collect to your home screen from the banner, or from Settings, Install READI Collect.
- Say what installing changes and what it leaves alone.
- Turn on notifications for new collection requests, if you are a collector.
